How does Greenlight work?

  1. Complete your registration in just a few minutes. Join through us and your subscription fee is covered*.
  2. Download the Greenlight app for you and your family. Get started with chores, allowance, and savings.
  3. Your card will arrive in 7-10 business days. Then, simply open your Greenlight app and activate your card.

What are Greenlight’s key features?

  • Account Setup: Park Bank clients who register for Greenlight via the unique link above and add their Park Bank account as a funding source will receive Greenlight for free*. Parents can add up to five kids, each with their own individual debit card.
  • Parents Can: Send money to your kid’s card instantly and set parental controls on spending categories or turn a child’s card on/off in one tap. Receive real-time notifications whenever a child makes a purchase and assign chores and jobs to teach kids the value of hard work. You can also make charitable donations!
  • Kids Can: Swipe their card wherever Mastercard is accepted (including most countries!). They can also set and achieve Savings Goals, “Level Up” their money knowledge with Greenlight’s financial literacy game, and receive payments from friends and family with Pay Link.

Greenlight FAQs

A: We support kids and grownups of all ages. No minimum (or maximum) age here. The Primary must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident.

A: Greenlight debit cards are FDIC-insured up to $250,000 and come with Mastercard’s® Zero Liability Protection. Greenlight blocks ‘unsafe’ spending categories, sends real-time transaction notifications, lets parents turn cards off at any time, and gives parents flexible ATM and spending controls.

A: The Greenlight card can be used almost anywhere Mastercard is accepted, online, and in-store. “Almost,” because cardholders are kids, and they have put important guardrails in place. Greenlight also works internationally in 150+ other countries, with no foreign transaction fees. No need to let them know if you travel abroad — you’ll have enough to remember.

A: Once existing Greenlight customers add their Park Bank account as a funding source, they can reach out to Greenlight customer service and request to be added to the Park Bank partnership program.

A: No, Greenlight is its own individual app, but within the Greenlight app you can send money to your child’s card, turn their card on/off, set up spending controls, allowance, chores, and more.

A: Greenlight is a debit card for kids, not a credit card. Parents load money onto the card from their own funding source connected through their Greenlight app. And because it’s a debit card, kids can’t spend what isn’t there. That’s a pretty valuable life lesson.

A: Kids and parents will both use the same Greenlight app you see in the app store, but have two different experiences and individual login credentials. Parents can set up their child’s login under the child’s profile settings.

A: After completing registration or requesting a replacement card, your debit card will arrive within 7-10 business days. If you would like to expedite your shipping for your card to arrive within 2-3 business days, you can call Greenlight customer service team at 888.483.2645 within 12 hours of signing up. You can request to have your shipping expedited for a one-time fee of $24.99.

A: When your child’s card arrives, follow these simple steps to activate it right away:

  1. Open your Greenlight app. From your Parent Dashboard, you should see a notification prompting you to activate your child’s card.
  2. Tap on the notification and input the card’s expiration date in the app to activate it.
  3. Next, visit your child’s dashboard by clicking their square at the top of your Parent Dashboard.
  4. Select “Manage Card” then “Set debit card PIN.” After the PIN is set, your physical card is activated and ready to use!

A: Greenlight has made it super easy to check your child’s spending history.

  1. Navigate to your child’s dashboard.
  2. Click on the Spending tile.
  3. At the top right, click on “History.”

You then have the ability to filter the view to see spending history for the last 30 days, 90 days, or 12 months as well as grouping transactions by stores.

Key Features:

  • Daily Score
  • Credit Monitoring
  • Change Alerts

Credit Sense FAQs

A: Credit Sense is a comprehensive Credit Score program offered by Park Bank, that helps you stay on top of your credit. You get your latest credit score and report, an understanding of key factors that impact the score, and can see the most up-to-date offers that can help reduce your interest costs. With this program, you always know where you stand with your credit and how Park Bank can help save you money. Credit Score also monitors your credit report daily and informs you by email if there are any big changes detected, such as: a new account being opened, change in address or employment, a delinquency has been reported, or an injury has been made. Monitoring helps users keep an eye out for identity theft.

A: Enrolling in Credit Sense is quick and easy. From the home page of Park Bank Online Banking, simply click on the “Check Credit Score” button within the Credit widget on the right side of the page. In Mobile Banking, click on “My Credit Score” found in the “Quick Links” menu after logging in. You’ll be asked to verify some information – and in just a few minutes, you’ll be in!

A: Credit Sense Credit Report provides you all the information you would find on your credit file, including a list of open loans, accounts, and credit inquiries. A: As long as you are a regular online banking user, your credit score will be updated every month and displayed in your online banking screen. You can click “refresh score” as frequently as every day by navigating to the detailed Credit Sense site from within online banking.

A: Credit Sense pulls your credit profile from TransUnion, one of the three major credit reporting bureaus, and uses VantageScore 3.0, a credit scoring model developed collaboratively by the three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. This model seeks to make score information more uniform between the three bureaus to provide consumers a better picture of their credit health.

A: There are three major credit-reporting bureaus – Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion – and two scoring models – FICO or VantageScore – that determine credit scores. Financial institutions use different bureaus, as well as their own scoring models. Over 200 factors of a credit report may be taken into account when calculating a score and each model may weigh credit factors differently, so no scoring model is completely identical. No matter what credit bureau or credit scoring model is used, consumers do fall into specific credit ranges: Excellent 781-850, Good 661-780, Fair 601-660, Unfavorable 501-600, Bad below 500.

A: No, Park Bank uses its own lending criteria for making loan decisions.

A: No, Credit Sense is a free service to help you understand your credit health, how you make improvements in your score, and ways you can save money on your loans with Park Bank.

A: Credit Sense can help you manage your credit so when it comes time to borrow for a big-ticket purchase – like buying a home, car or paying for college – you have a clear picture of your credit health and can qualify for the lowest possible interest rate. You’ll also see offers on how you can save money on your new and existing loans with Park Bank.

A: Credit Sense makes its best effort to show you the most relevant information from your credit report. If you think that some of the information is wrong or inaccurate, we encourage you to take advantage of obtaining free credit reports from www.annualcreditreport.com, and then pursuing with each bureau individually. Each bureau has its own process for correcting inaccurate information but every user can “File a Dispute” by clicking on the “Dispute” link within their Credit Sense Credit Report. However, the Federal Trade Commission website offers step-by-step instructions how to contact the bureaus and correct errors.

A: Based on your Credit Sense information, you may receive Park Bank offers on products that may be of interest to you. In most cases, these offers may have lower interest rates than the products you already have. The educational articles, written by Jean Chatzky and the Credit Sense team, are designed to provide helpful tips on how you can manage credit and debt wisely.

Check Free: Paying Bills Just Got Faster

Paying your bills is easier and faster with Check Free (also known as online bill pay). The easy calendar function will let you pick the date your payment is to arrive, and it will automatically show you the earliest arrival date available. Most vendors will also receive your payment electronically (via ACH) which means that some payments will arrive within one or two days of scheduling. Paper checks will still go out to smaller companies not equipped for electronic payment, but we anticipate more than 60% will be made electronically.

Payments are Guaranteed

Payments through Check Free are guaranteed to arrive on the date you selected. If you schedule your payment according to the terms and conditions of the service, and it arrives late, any late charges (up to $50) will be covered by Park Bank.

Funds Withdrawn on Pay Day

We’ve made it easy on your cash flow by changing the timing of payment. With the new system, funds are not pulled from your account until the day the payment arrives.

Expedited Payments

Ever find yourself needing to pay a bill that same day? This feature will allow for expedited payments to be made with some vendors the same day for a small fee.

eBills

Some companies now offer the option to receive their bill electronically. You’ll have the option to sign up for their electronic billing through online bill pay. This means that you can easily click to open your bill and then pay it with another click.
